Getting ready to Go

Our time here is quickly coming to an end. I can't believe we've been here for almost three years. How time flies... This experience has definately been an adventure. I'm so ready to come back to the States, but then again I'm going to miss this place something fierce. I made a list of the things that I will miss the most about Okinawa.

1. All of our friends at Central Baptist Church
2. Looking out my window and seeing the ocean
3. Apple Tea
4. The Japanese channels on TV - yes, we do watch them occassionally :)
5. The most friendly people you will ever meet
6. Traditional Japanese music
7. The crazy parks and playgrounds here that would never pass in the States
8. Saying 'Konichiwa' (good day), 'Aragato' (thank you), and 'Hai, hai' (okay), everytime I turn around.
9. Palm trees
10. Taking walks along the seawall

Sorry, sushi didn't make the list, although I do like it, but can't say I'll miss it. There are probably a hundred more things I could put on that list, but it's time to say goodbye. We will be returning to the States in November, so there's lots to do before then. I will try to keep the blog updated as much as I can, but can't make any promises. Please pray for us as we get packed, sell vehicles, pass inspections, and board the longest flight of our lives with our four and a half children :) I will let you all know our return dates when we have a more solid itinerary. Thanks everyone!

I was so sad to leave Oki too. I miss it something awful still. Who knew that such a tiny little island could be such a wonderful place?

Can't wait to see you! Let me know where you are going to be, if it's Indiana, maybe we can visit!
