Learning to Ride a Bike

Kris took the training wheels off of Isaac's bike yesterday evening and had a go at it in our parking lot. Isaac gave a good effort, but we're not sure he's ready to ride just yet without those extra pair of wheels. Turns out the trainers were set pretty low and didn't give him enough instability for him to learn how to keep control of his bike. Kris reset the trainers so now Isaac will have to try a little harder at keeping his bike steady.
Isaac fell down, but after a little encouragement he got right back on.
As you can see, Isaac's bike is a little rusty. Kris told Isaac he could have a new bike if he learned how to ride. I think that's a pretty good motivator don't you?
They stayed out till it got dark. I think they may have been out longer if we had working streetlights.
Is that fear I see on his face?

All three of our big ones now can ride, and it's all we can do to get them OFF the bikes - for anything!! Eating included!

I wish I would have taken pictures of ours...
