Birthday Party

Our beach party got a little rained out, so we had the birthday party at home. We didn't have a big turnout but we still had fun.

We thought this was one of those peaceful pinatas with no hitting involved. You just pull all the strings until you yank the right one and all the candy falls out of the bottom.
It didn't turn out that way, so the big kids had to get involved.
Kris gave it a few whacks but still had no luck.

Finally, a friend of ours got it open for us. The powder is from all the pixie sticks that got beat up.
One of the little girls thought it was a good idea to stuff them down her shirt.
Since we were celebrating two birthdays, I thought a Noah's ark theme, 2x2 would be cute.
Lily was really blowing, but Dad had to step in behind her to get them all blown out.
