Saying Goodbye

Yesterday afternoon, we took my dad to the airport and said our last goodbyes. We had such a wonderful time with my dad being here. We don't get out much with the four kids but with another set of eyes and hands around we got out more than we ever have. There were definately some good memories had over the last couple weeks.

Isaac had a really hard time saying goodbye. He kept asking grandpa if he could come with him to Indiana. After he left, Isaac would ask, 'When will I see Grandpa again?' What do you say to that? Poor guy. I just keep reminding him of the fun we got to have and how blessed we were to have him here for a while.

Thank you Dad for everything! We hope you can come back again next year!

Poor Isaac. He has such a big heart. Glad I got to talk to you yesterday. It was nice to talk to the kids too. I hope Lily has recovered from the whole ordeal :) Love you!

I know Japan is farther, but Luke always struggles when my mom goes back to Montana. It's hard, but cell phones and being "in" and free nights/weekends help us out. You aren't alone when your heart breaks for your hurting kids.

Hi! Greetings from Singapore.
Came to your blog through Neoworx.

You have such beautiful, lovely children! They are like dolls!

Reading your posts on Okinana makes me want to go to Japan. My son is going to spend a month in Japan in December. Lucky guy.

Best wishes.

I had such an unbelievably wonderful time during my visit! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect of a trip to such a foreign land, but those expectations were exceeded time and time again. I have gained a new respect for the Japanese people and their remarkable friendliness. It was especially good seeing the two of you and the kids again--and, of course, Alivia for the first time. You’ve been blessed with yet another doll to go with your other three.

My favorite sites were The Tropical Dream Center (what a perfect name) and the beach locations, where we went exploring and snorkeling at low tide. (Micah, you and Todd would love all the beautiful saltwater fish--how awesome!!!) My favorite place to eat was at Genghis Khan, which I was lucky enough to visit a second time before I left. Thanks, Kris, for watching Lily while she was sick, so that the rest of us could go again. I hope you know how much I appreciated that.

Again, thanks to the both of you and the kids, for all the truly memorable experiences during my stay! I miss you already, and I love you all!!! --Grandpa Barber
