My children finally have a cousin! My brother and sister-in-law, Joel and Katie Hutsell, (Kris's brother and wife) had a baby girl born on the evening of August 10th. We're told that Chloe Marie came into the world with a good strong cry. There were some complications during Katie's labor though and the baby had to be born via emergency Ceasarean. Chloe lost a lot of blood and had to have a blood transfusion. She also inhaled meconium (baby's first bowel movement). She was transferred to a neighboring hospital for evaluation. Please keep them in your prayers over the next few days. The doctor said that Chloe was a fighter, so we're praying that she will recover quickly.
We're so proud of you Joel and Katie and even though we're not there with you, we're praying for you and that sweet baby. It's times like these where we wish we could be home to help you. We love you and are so happy to be an Aunt and Uncle!
