Cherry Blossom Festival 2
After the parade, the band played a short concert.
This is called a Banyan Tree. It is huge! You can see the large posts holding up the branches.
One of the games that the kids played was fishing. Here is Isaac 'catching a fish', and Emma cheering him on.
There was a pathway that led up the mountain and it was completely surrounded by the Cherry trees. It was so pretty seeing all the little pink buds.
Just a view of one of the streets before it got crowded.
Kris and I got to expereince some of the different kinds of foods available. We had some yakitori (fried teriyaki pork on a stick) and I had yakisoba (fried noodles) yummy! We also tried of few of the sugary treats and were quite suprised. The top picture of the pink, white and green balls were like doughy taffy. And the little suckers in the bottom picture were little candy covered apples.

looking at these pictures makes me miss you guys more! i really enjoyed seeing kris and isaac. can't wait to see everyone else. i miss you guys! love aunt janet
