I'm not sure where the name 'tuna flower' came from, but that's what Isaac and Emma have named thier newest finding in the yard. These little purple flowers have come up all over by our tree in the side yard and the kids make it a daily ritual to go and collect as many as they can.
Maybe they smell like tuna? Hmmm... that makes me wonder.

Remember when we used to pick flowers for mom out in the field behind the house, before the dumb old dude started mowing it over?
I remember those purple ones that you would pick apart and then suck on the ends of them.
We were so outdoorsy :)
