Update on Alivia

After some tweaking with Alivia's eating schedule, I think we've solved the evening Fussy Mussy mystery. I've heard of the book, 'The Art of Breastfeeding', and probably should've read it. Anyway, I thought, 'Whoever thinks that breastfeeding is an art, must be a crazy loon.' Well, I now believe that it certainly is an amazing thing, although to call it art is still a little strange.
I have concluded that Alivia does not have any allergies and what she could have been going through was a maturing of her digestive system. She was also overeating in the evening and would often share her meal with us in ways I'm sure you can imagine. Alivia likes to be held too, but that's nothing a sling can't handle. She hasn't had a fussy evening for almost a week now and is sleeping much better. She actually slept through the night a few times and she's not even six weeks old! Praise God! I've even got all four kids napping in the afternoon at the same time. It's great to get a little extra rest during the day.
Thanks to all for the advice and encouragement. It was greatly appreciated.

Wonderful! It is so great to hear Alivia is much better. She is a chunk. Do those clothes fit her I sent? I'm glad that you can get some extra rest during the day. You truly do amaze me. I'm glad your friends didn't name their baby after the storm. Take care and I love you all very much.

Keep the nap time as LONG as you can. I still make them all lay down together in the afternoon at the same time. My oldest is taking shorter and shorter naps the older he gets, but you are right! It's like a slice of Heaven when it's silent......

Amen to that Michelle! I remember watching the boys and it was absolute bliss when I could get them all to take a nap at the same time. So glad Alivia is doing better. Who knew your bubs had so much power?!

Glad to hear that she's doing better! That's quite an accomplishment to get all four of them down for naps at the same time! Way to go, supermom!

I was going to comment on the post but I'm laughing so hard at the comments from your husband I can hardly see the screen. He and Jason would get along really well... Gotta tell ya I'm pretty impressed that you can get 4 kids to nap at the same time. Amazing!

Holly, I did see those pictures of Jason goofing around with those statues and about peed my pants. I showed them to Kris and he got a good laugh out of it too. They would get along really well!
